This was our second visit to Kommos Sunset Villas—specifically, Villa Giannis—and once again, it was truly wonderful! The villa itself is beautiful: perfect for families with children, with spacious rooms, modern decor, and spotless cleanliness. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s even a washing machine. Best of all is the swimming pool—clean, warm, and incredibly inviting. What truly makes the stay exceptional, though, are the hosts. Tonia and Nectarios are a wonderful couple—kind, attentive, and always quick to respond to any questions or needs. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. And we have to mention the honey they shared with us????—it was absolutely amazing!

Simply gorgeous, a new and very high-quality house. The landlady is friendly, and the sunset is incomparable. The pool is very clean. The place is wonderful, very relaxed, without the usual touristy atmosphere. A different tavern every evening... Tip: Dream Factory and the bakery on the main street... we never cooked ourselves... ???? Caution: A steep concrete path leads to the house; you need courage or a four-wheel drive...

We booked a week this summer at the Kommosunset Villas in Crete. Even upon arrival, the hostess was extremely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. I was a little stressed from the journey, but she immediately made me feel like I had arrived. The house, or rather the villa, is amazing. Fantastic location, beautiful view. You feel like you're in your own home with the whole family. The pool, facing the sea, is another highlight. Our kids, 16, 14, and 10 years old, love using it, just like we do. The large roof terrace makes the sunsets even more captivating. The furnishings, both inside and out, are absolutely brand new. Very well maintained, super clean, as if it were a brand-new property. The small gardens around the outside are carefully planted with herbs and native plants. The three bathrooms are also perfect for all the beds. Each bedroom has its own, very tastefully designed bathroom. The spaciousness of the house's interior also reflects the host's hospitality. Not only were small gifts waiting for us guests as a welcome, but we also had other extremely positive experiences. My son had looked at the sun too long and "blurred" his eyes. We couldn't handle it because we weren't familiar with it, and he needed an ophthalmologist. The hostess immediately took care of everything. She sent us the address where we needed to go and made an appointment. And not only that... while we were sitting in the waiting room, she even came by personally to translate and help us. That was truly so kind. I never would have expected that, and I absolutely have to highlight it here! Fantastic service, which reflects the hostess's friendliness and personality. About the location: In the surrounding area, you can find everything your heart desires within walking distance. We went to five different very good restaurants (tavernas) with the kids (and they have serious foot problems :-)). And there are certainly almost 15 within 1 km of the house... I like to go jogging in the morning (definitely in the morning, given the weather in Crete in summer). It's perfect. I've gone up into the mountains (they start 200 meters behind the house), I've gone to the beach for a quick swim, and once I just lazily walk 3 km through town to pick up some bread. I highly recommend it in the morning. The sun rises at your back, and you enjoy the warmth with great views. The location and the selection are top-notch. There's also a large supermarket within walking distance, as well as at least six small "mom and pop" shops, which also sell almost everything. There's also a pharmacy and many other everyday necessities. A very nice little town in a historic location with a small-town feel. Don't forget to read up on the history of the port of Kommos. Unfortunately, there's little information available locally, but Google can help. Summary: A definite 10 out of 10 stars for us! We'll definitely be back. My family spent fantastic time in this spot. The owners do show great attention to the details: the kitchen is equipped literally with everything to make your stay comfortable, the climate control system will allow to easily tolerate heat, the aroma of the herbs meticulously planted around the pool will make you get a pleasant tingling sensation every time you swim. Villas are located almost at the top of the hill, so the sunsets are exceptional. At the same time, it might be tough to get up the hill on foot, so having a car is benifitial (especially for families with children), as it makes it easy not only to overcome the slope but also fastly access two nearby beaches, supermarkets, fish store (15 minute driving distance from villas) offering the freshest seafood, good restaurants and after all, just explore the island. The owners are really amiable people, who take care of their guests being constantly in touch and ready to give a hand.

Travel from Heraklion in less than 1 hour. Wonderful, well-equipped, modern homes. Perfect location to enjoy the sunset over the sea. Various sensational restaurants within walking distance (Pitsidia). Matala in just a few minutes by car. The hostess was extremely accommodating and always available to answer questions. KommoSunset is absolutely recommended. Thank you for the great stay and efforts!

We were more than satisfied with the accommodation, the hostess, and the atmosphere of the house. We spent an unforgettable time at Villa "Georgia" with a group of six people. The individual bedrooms of the villa are first-class furnished and offer great comfort. The en-suite bathrooms are tastefully decorated and in brand-new condition. The villa was spotlessly clean and equipped with high-quality materials throughout. Furthermore, the accommodation lacks nothing – from clothes racks and kitchen equipment to well-chosen patio furniture, everything your heart desires and needs is there. The villa is stunningly beautiful, and the furnishings are truly first-class. In the kitchen, you'll find everything you need to cook your own meals, and the barbecue and its accessories make for a wonderful evening. At the beginning of our vacation, we were greeted with a welcome gift and our wonderful hosts, Tonia and Nektarios. They are both wonderful hosts and easy to reach at any time – any concerns are resolved within minutes. We were delighted to meet them and have never experienced such hospitality before. The villa is situated on a hillside, as is often the case in Greece, and the elevated position offers a fantastic view of the sea. During our stay, we visited several beaches, all of which were very clean and provided pure relaxation (easily accessible from the villa by car or taxi and about a 30-minute walk). The villa is highly recommended if you want to unwind, enjoy the sea, and soak up plenty of sun, all while combining it with a first-class, luxurious atmosphere.

A wonderful accommodation with very lovely hosts. The house is bright, tastefully furnished, the equipment is top (everything from the blender to the washing machine is there...). I can only warmly recommend this house!

A truly fantastic apartment for up to 6 people, with great design, fantastic CocoMat bedding, views on the southern Cretan sea, a super pool with salted water and all the amenities you can think of. And a great couple of landlords! Also, in the immediate outskirts of Pitsidia, which is a village with a lot of color and great eateries

A dream villa and the perfect place to vacation on this beautiful island. Everything is beautifully furnished with great materials, and the amenities are perfect. Nothing is missing... Tonia is an excellent host. Thank you for letting us stay here. We'll definitely be back!

Had a lovely week in the middle villa, high quality inside and out with great views especially the sunset. Hosts were really accommodating and charming. Pitsidia has some good restaurants (Rafti’s especially) and the beaches (kommo by Bunga Bunga restaurant and Matala were great.).
